The presence of the metal coating on the CBN surface acts as a diffusion barrier reducing the rate of transportation of reactive elements such as cobalt, iron and nickel, from the surrounding matrix to the CBN surface. The net result is a greater freedom of choice of sintering conditions and bond composition for tool manufacture.

We can provide QMCC series Ti-, Ni- and Cu- coated CBN of various mesh size sand types according to user's order, or provide coating services for CBN grits provided by our customer.
